Solemn Vespers for Pope Francis

As we mourn the passing of our Holy Father, Pope Francis, we are reminded of our hope in the Resurrection and the joy that one day, Pope Francis and all the faithful departed, will gain eternal entrance into the Kingdom of Heaven. We are guided by our faith as we enter the period of "Novemdiales," or nine days of mourning and prayer for the repose of the Holy Father's soul. Please join us in praying for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon the Holy Father's soul, the College of Cardinals as they begin deliberations to elect the new Roman Pontiff, and for our future Roman Pontiff. During our mourning period we will have a special prayer service, Solemn Vespers, on Friday, April 25 at 6PM. Then on Saturday, we will celebrate a special Mass for the Dead for the Holy Father at 8AM. We both invite and encourage you to be present for these liturgies. Eternal rest grant unto Francis, O Lord. And let light perpetual shine upon him. And may his soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
